On September 22nd, on the occasion of the festivities of the Holy Black Christ of St. Roman, the Mission participated in the “Dawn Pilgrimage” along with the other guilds and groups praying the Holy Rosary through the streets. The members of the Mission Committee in Campeche dressed in traditional costumes and carried the Mission’s banner. The procession ended at the Shrine of the Black Christ of St. Roman where the parish priest, Guadalupe, was waiting for them to celebrate the Eucharist where 200 people were consecrated to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. The entrance song was the Hymn of the Mission and it was sung with great enthusiasm. Fr. Guadalupe spoke in his homily of the great need of recognizing ourselves as children of God and not being afraid of loving and being loved by God our Father.
