On Wednesday May 3rd, with the presence of the new rector of the Basilica of the National Vow, Fr. Bernardino, the family of Police Colonel Cesar Carrera Ocampo, member of the Mission, made their consecration to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. All of the members of the family attended and with deep faith they gave their YES and committed to live with their gaze upon the Sacred Hearts and accepted them as their owners and rulers of their lives. At the offertory they symbolically placed each one of the family members at the feet of Jesus and Mary. Fr. Bernardino spoke of the importance of forming a family prayer cenacle, just as the Lord did the day before his death; “this is the best gift you can give your children, that they see you on your knees surrendering to the protection of Jesus and Mary”, he said.
