On Saturday, February 17th Carol Rivera and Angelica Cantu gave a retreat in the city of Uruapan in Mexico, for the members of the Mission For the Love of God from six different parishes: Holy Trinity, Our Lady of Refuge, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Paul Apostle, St. Raphael, Divine Savior (indigenous community of Caltzontzin) and Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Approximately 100 people attended, between missionaries, members of the prayer cenacles and people who have made their initial consecration to God thru the Two Hearts. The retreat began at 9:00 a.m. and ended with the Eucharist at 5:30 p.m., celebrated by the parish priest of Holy Trinity, Fr. Carlos Ortega.
We also had the presence of Fr. Rodrigo Fabian, parish priest of Our Lady of Refuge during lunch, and at the end, by the parish priest of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Everyone was moved by the talks that were given, as they offered them a way forward as to how to live with God as their Father and to be His witnesses in the world, learning how to open their hearts to speak to Him and to pray the Rosary from their heart. It was very motivating for them to continue persevering in the prayer cenacles and in the home enthronement of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
The representatives of the Mission also felt reinforced in spirit and filled with enthusiasm to continue the work needed in each of the parishes.
We thank God for this beautiful retreat and pray it may continue to bear fruit for His greater glory.
