Activities
In March 2012 John Rick Miller visited Houston promoting the Mission in different parishes, awakening in several Catholics the desire to participate and establish it in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
The Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Baytown was the first to be consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and to enthrone the relic image of Our Lady of Guadalupe thanks to the support of parish priest, Fr. Jesus Lizalde, on December 12th. Subsequently various prayer cenacles in the homes were started and since then we have been working so that the Mission For the Love of God Worldwide is known in Houston and its surroundings. In 2014 by the grace of God and intercession of the Blessed Virgin, the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Mission began being prayed on Radio Maria uniting many listeners to pray for Houston and neighboring areas.
On April 2016 the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston authorized the Mission For the Love of God Worldwide to become part of the Hispanic ministries so it could further its work in the parishes promoting consecrations and enthronements.
2017 has been a year of great blessing as three more parishes have been consecrated. The first was the parish of Holy Name on February 11th on the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, where Fr. Anil Thomas consecrated his parish and territory to the Two Hearts and enthroned the relic image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. On May 13th in the centenary of the apparitions of Fatima the Parish of St. Charles Borromeo with parish priest Fr. Miguel Solorzano and the Parish of St. Leo the Great with its parish priest Carmelo Hernandez, were also consecrated to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.
In May 2017 the international directors of the Mission, Carol Rivera, Angelica Cantu and Juan Chaparro visited Houston to give a series of talks to further expand the Mission. Teams of people were formed in different parishes to establish the Mission and invite people to enthrone the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe in their homes and to return to family prayer.
