A few weeks ago the Bishop of Itsmina-Tadó, Msgr. Julio García sent a letter to a person in Miami asking for a donation of 20,000 rosaries for his diocese. These rosaries were sent to Colombia where they were packed with a triptych with the Mission’s Sorrowful Mysteries for Conversion and Peace. To this end, 96 people of the Mission and other apostolates and Catholic communities came together on June 24th and 26th to pack all the rosaries.
On June 21st Pope Francis appointed Bishop Julio Garcia as the new Bishop of the Diocese of Garagoa and the Mission agreed to deliver 5 thousand rosaries for his diocese and other 15,000 for the Diocese of Itsmina-Tadó. However, from these rosaries, 500 were given to Fr. Julio Bueno of the population of Lloro that belongs to the Diocese of Quibdó (in the middle of the Pacific jungle) and 1,000 for Venezuela through some Venezuelans that reside in Bogota that will be taking them along with food, medicines and toiletries to this brother country.
These good works have opened many doors and in a few days the Mission in Colombia has had contact with many people who have now begun to pray the Mission’s Rosary.
