I have the heart full of pain for this letter of John. It's very hard because not only his suffering hurts me but because it enlivens in my mind the intense pain that my Riqui also suffered; what he is experiencing is identical to what my beloved Riqui suffered, plus the pain of the stomach, for fluid accumulation by acitis; it is like reliving this stage of my life. I know what he is experiencing and we are definitely blessed to know that we have his great cross for the salvation of our souls. Please tell him I love him with the love of Christ crucified and the pierced Heart of our Heavenly Mother. That all my daily prayers implore to the Giver of Life and the Blessed Virgin Mary to accompany him in his calvary and fill him with strength, and his family as well. I know that as a beloved child of God, the comfort and peace of his heart, are the gifts of heaven for you him to overcome this most difficult load.
