CELEBRATION WITH THE ‘GRANDPARENTS’ OF THE RURAL PARISH “LA MERCED”

On February 14th, the Mission together with committed laity from the Movement John XXIII, organized a small celebration for the grandparents of the Parish “La Merced”. They are elderly people who live in conditions of risk, many of them alone, in complete abandonment or in very precarious conditions.The Mission visits them frequently, praying with them for their needs and keeping them company.The celebration began with the Eucharist presided by Msgr. Miguel Ángel Aguilar who gave a message of comfort and encouragement to them.Then the grandparents were invited to a small lunch and were given groceries that members of the Mission had donated. The day ended with prayer and thanksgiving songs to Our Lady of Guadalupe and Her beloved Son Jesus Christ.
