Consecration Mass to the Two Hearts of Edgardo Rebagliati Hospital and Enthronement of the Relic Image

Members of The Mission have been visiting for more than 3 months, every Friday from 4-6pm, three different Units of the Pediatric Area of the National Hospital Edgardo Rebagliati Martins. During these visits, members of the Mission have guided the patients and families through the prayer of the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary, praying for the intentions of the sick in each mystery. 

On December 12, 2017 in celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe Feast being Patron of The Americas and Patron of The Mission, a Consecration Mass was held at the Chapel of the Hospital. The chaplain Father Augusto Meloni, did the Consecration Act to the Two Hearts and the consecration of the patients, doctors, nurses and all the employees of the Hospital. Also, the wife of Dr. Javier Rolando Tovar Brandan, Manager of the Hospital, read the Act of Consecration in his representation. 

Over 200 faithful where present at the ceremony and read the Consecration Prayers to consecrate their families. After the ceremony with lots of applauses, the Relic Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe was enthroned in a special place where it is written: “My little son, am I not your Mother?” , the same words Our Mother told Saint Juan Diego when she appeared to him in 1531. 

At the end of the act, 33 small images of Our Lady of Guadalupe where given to the Hospital to be placed at the different Units of the Hospital. These images will be enthroned very close to the patients so they will receive Her comfort and company.
