Consecration of the Parish of St. Peter Apostle and Renewal of the Consecration of the Archdiocese of Morelia On Sunday October 9th, Bishop Hercules Medina Garcia celebrated a Solemn Mass in which he not only consecrated the Parish of St. Peter Apostle, but also declared the renewal of the Consecration of the Archdiocese of Morelia and the State of Michoacan to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. The parish priest, Msgr. Rafael Chavez Ponce de Leon and his vicar, Fr. Froilan Chavez, were present. To the 300 faithful that participated in the Mass, the Bishop explained the current condition of the world that seems to discredit and undervalue all that is Sacred, and invited them to remember the importance of their baptism to understand their dignity as children of God. Our blessed Mother of Guadalupe made Her solemn entrance while the Bishop explained Her important role in Mexico and in Michoacan. When the prayer to renew the Consecration of the State was read, the bells began to chime to outline the call of God The Father to His children to come back Home, accompanied by the sound of rockets in perfect harmony. Before the Mass ended, Msgr. Hercules invited the faithful to register on their way out of the Church, because it was important to give continuity to their consecration, enthroning Our Blessed Mother of Guadalupe in their homes. He also expressed his consent so the work of the Mission For the Love of God could continue, to its National Coordinator in Mexico, who was present at the Mass.
