On December 16th, 2018, the third Sunday of Advent, Father Félix Barreto, chaplain General of the National Police of Peru, consecrated the parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the chaplaincy to the Sacred Hearts.
The same day, a relic image of Our Lady of Guadalupe brought from Mexico was enthroned. It was a very emotional moment because Father Barreto commented that the parish had another name before and it had to be changed, and that he chose the name of Our Lady of Guadalupe after finding Her image in the temple. Meaning, the Mother chose that place from the beginning to be Her home.
She was received in the midst of much joy, as 20 young people and adults had their first Communion and all the people present welcomed Her with the song "La Guadalupana".
After the act of enthronement to Our Lady of Guadalupe, father consecrated the chaplaincy to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the 80 faithful present recited the prayer of consecration of the family to the Sacred Hearts.
A family had the honor of being chosen to take an image of our mother of Guadalupe to be enthroned in their home.
20 young people and teenagers from the parish received Jesus in the most holy Sacrament for the first time. Their family and friends were present.
