Holy Mass In Memory Of Our Founder John Rick MillerOn Saturday July 11th at noon, a Holy Mass was celebrated at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Quito in memory of our founder John Rick Miller. This beautiful ceremony was presided by Msgr. Fausto Travez, Archbishop of Quito and President of the Ecuadorian Episcopal Conference and Primtate of Ecuador. He was accompanied by Msgr. Hugo Reinoso, Dean of the Cathedral and advisor of the Archbishopric and member of the Mission; Fr. Jose Fabian Camayo, parish priest of the Basilica of the National Vow and spiritual adviser of the Mission; and by Fr. Orlando Corrales, parish priest of St. Charles Borromeo and member of the Mission. A great number of people, invited by the Mission, attended the ceremony and got to know the selfless work Rick had carried out and enthusiastically listened to the words Msgr. Travez pronounced when he was thanking Rick for his YES in such a brave and determined manner and invited all to do so as well, following our founder’s example; who in spite of the severe pain and adversities he had to endure, he never forgot “he was a child of the Father” and as such responded and accepted His Divine Will. He prayed that with that same courage and selflessness that Rick showed, we could continue on with the “Mission” without dismay and always asking for the protection of our Mother Mary and Her Son, our beloved Jesus.
