FEAST OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE AT “CRUCITA”—PROVINCE OF MANABÍ

The novena of Our Lady of Guadalupe began on December 2nd at the central Church of Crucita with the visit to each one of the 14 sectors that make up its territory by foot with the participation of all the faithful. Each day one sector or neighborhood brought the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe and organized the prayer of the novena.Father Oswaldo Macías, parish priest of Crucita, celebrated 4 daily Masses because of the novena, and many people attended.The novena ended on December 10th and on the 11th we had the eve of the Feast with the screening of the movie of the apparitions of Our Lady to St. Juan Diego.On December 12th there was a great celebration. The Eucharist was presided by the Archbishop of Manabí Msgr. Lorenzo Voltolini at 10:00 a.m. and at 6:00 p.m. there was a multitudinous procession that culminated with the celebration of another Mass at 8:00 p.m.Throughout the novena and at the culmination of the celebration, the faithful entrusted their lives to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, always confident in their protection and praying that the telluric movements, that are still happening, may stop and they may have the strength, hope and faith to carry on.
