Consecration of St. Peter Catholic Church in Gueydan, to St. Joseph

Pope Francis, after declaring the Jubilee Year of Mercy, he asked for Parishes throughout the world to host a “24 Hour for the Lord’. Thus, the Mission for the Love of God Worldwide in Gueydan, held a Twenty-Four Hour Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at Saint Peter Church on March 5th which ended with the First Saturday Mass on March 6th, that included Father Corey Campeaux consecrating the Parish to Saint Joseph. 

A reception followed welcoming all parishioners that attended with coffee and biscuits. The Eucharist was again Exposed and continued until the Lenten Mission on Sunday with Father Phillip Scott from Lima, Peru. The Mission ended on Wednesday, March 9th.
