On Tuesday, March 13, with the presence of police authorities; authorities of the prosecution and adoptive parents, a Holy Mass was celebrated in memory of 37 babies, who died of abortion.
The Holy Mass was presided over by Monsignor Fausto Trávez, Archbishop of Quito and Primate of Ecuador. Monsignor thanked the great help of the Police; of the Office of the Prosecutor and of the executives of the cemetery, so that the burial of those little angels could take place. He also thanked the "adoptive parents", who very diligently responded to the call of the pastoral group "LIFE AND FAMILY", that with Monsignor Danilo Echeverría, carries out the pertinent procedures for the burial.
Monseñor Trávez, in the Holy Mass, presented the Lord, all the parents who attempted against their children, and asked that we all pray for them, so that the Lord will show them mercy.
He reminded those present that we are all responsible for fighting for respect for life from conception, that we should take it as a personal obligation, not as a responsibility of others.
In addition to the burial of the babies, the first stone was placed and unveiled at the site where the monument to the "emptiness left by an unborn baby" will be erected.
