The Mission begins its activities in the Parish of Jesus Christ Eternal and High Priest By the grace of God, the Mission For the Love of God Worldwide has been welcomed in the parish of Jesus Christ Eternal and High Priest in the city of Queretaro, in Mexico. The parish priest, Fr. Arturo Tomas Jimenez, with wisdom, diligence and love for his parishioners, prepared a three-stage program to unite the Mission’s proposal to his work plan. He will help invite the faithful to become aware of the commitment and the grace they will receive in the upcoming Consecration of the Parish to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary on October 5th. On Friday September 4th, the Mission began its activities in the Parish with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist and a talk given by Fr. Arturo. On that day we were accompanied by the first grade relic of Blessed Junipero Serra, Patron of the Permanent Mission in Queretaro. Such relic will be present next September 23rd in the Pope’s visit to Washington, where his canonization will be celebrated. The great news is that once he is declared a “saint”, his relic will return to Queretaro to be present in the Consecration of the Parish of Jesus Christ Eternal and High Priest. It has been decided that the then “St. Junipero Serra” will be the Spiritual Godfather of the Mission For the Love of God Worldwide there, for he is already the Patron of the Permanent Mission in Queretaro. Glory be to God!
