Visit to the Convent of Sto. Domingo and to the House of Saint Rosa of Lima

On August 22nd, with the intention of celebrating the 400th anniversary of the death of Saint Rose of Lima, the members of the Mission made a pilgrimage to the Basilica of the Holy Rosary of the Dominican Fathers in the Center of Lima. The Mission´s friend Friar Luis Enrique Ramirez invited us to visit the relics of Saint Rose of Lima and Saint Martin of Porres.

More than 400 years ago the basilica was constantly visited by Saint Rose of Lima searching for advice and confession. Here she had spiritual encounters with Saint Martin of Porres.  Several members of the prayer cenacle´s of the Mission were present in this pilgrimage where they received the Sacrament of Reconciliation and participated in the Holy Eucharist.

The members of the Mission had a very special moment when praying for Pope Francis, before the relics, to obtain the Indulgence he granted for this occasion.

 We also had the blessing of having the visit of Father Emerson Tapullima Murayari, priest from the city of Jeberos, in Loreto.

As part of the visit, the group walked from the Basilica to the House of Saint Rose where each one, following the ancient tradition, placed a personal letter with their requests for her in the well.
